   Sponsored Student Programs work with more than 80 sponsors from around the world including governments, governmental organizations. oil and other companies, and educational institutions. The following is a list of the major sponsors and programs currently administered by SSP :

 

  • ARAMCO-Saudi Arabia

  • Bolashak Program
       The Bolashak Program is a scholarship program funded by the Kazakhstan Government and is currently one of the leading sponsored student programs in Texas A&M University. Texas A&M has a contract with the Bolashak program to supervise their sponsored students both in TAMU and other academic institutions.. (more)

  • BP (British Petroleum)  Azerbaijan

  • Bush-Clinton Tsunami Relief
       This special Fulbright program came from the efforts of Presidents Bush and Clinton following the tragic events of the Tsunami that destroyed much of Ache in Indonesian. Some of the monies raised by their efforts have been directed to the Fulbright Program to enable approximately 70 students over the next three years to study at Texas A&M or the University of Arkansas.

  • CONACYT-Mexico

  • ExxonMobil Oil Company
       Texas A&M has a global contract with Exxon Mobile Oil company. Sponsored students currently included within this contract come primarily  from Equatorial Guinea. Previously, the contract also included students from Angola.

  • Fulbright Program
       The Fulbright Program is administered by the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State in cooperation with several private organizations such as: IIE, AMIDEAST, and LASPAU. It offers fellowships to foreign graduate students for support at U.S. universities..(more)  

  • KOREAN Government

  • MARATHON Oil Company
       Texas A&M has a global contract with Marathon Oil company. Sponsored students currently included within this contract come primarily  from Equatorial Guinea and Gabon....Read more: (Marathon-Noble- and Texas A&M Partnership).

  • MUSKIE-IREX Program- US Government
       The Edmunds S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program is a program of the US Department of State administered by IREX. The program provides opportunities for graduate students and professionals from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan for study in the U.S.
