Community Programs
Community Dinner for New International Students
All new international students and their families are invited to a dinner given by leaders and volunteers in the local community. This program provides an opportunity for new international students to interact with other new students and community members. This event is held at the Christian Life Center at A&M United Methodist Church. In order to ensure that the appropriate amount of food can be made, please register prior to attendance. If for some reason your plans change, making you unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 72 hours prior to the event. Thank you.
Christmas Eve Dinner for International Students
You and your families are invited to a Traditional American Christmas Eve Dinner at 5:30pm on Monday, December 24, 2007. The dinner will be served at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1007 Krenek Tap Road, College Station, Texas 77840. (Beautiful Savior is located next to the Christmas lights at Central Park). Guests are invited to stay after the dinner for other activities: a children's puppet show, singing Christmas songs, and a presentation about the first Christmas. Discovery Program
Hosted by the First Baptist
Church of College Station, this
program enables the wives and
children of international
students to interact, make new
friends, and get to know the
Bryan/College Station, TX area.
Maybe you need help with
English, transportation or other
problems. Discovery provides
that chance to get together with
other international ladies for
classes and programs to help you
adjust to living in our
community.
Friendship Connection Grace Bible Church offers classes for international ladies and childcare for their preschool children.
Friendship Connection for Men The Men's Friendship Connection's main purpose is interacting with international students with an emphasis on helping them to practice speaking and understanding English.

Lutheran Chapel - Programs for
International Students
University Lutheran Chapel (ULC) offers a variety of English classes each week at the All Nations Christian Center (ANCC), including multiple English classes of various levels, women's conversation class, small group Bible studies for all, International men’s Bible study, monthly dinners and activities, and field trips to places in the BCS area.
Volunteer Services Center Leadership Education and the Center for Campus and Community Engagement strives to empower students and staff to become effective leaders and active citizens. Through intentional programs, services, advising and advocacy, we encourage students to become engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
