Please join us in welcoming new international students to Texas A&M University. We need your help to meet the needs of these incoming students.

• Help students fill out ISS information cards
• Make copies of documents
• Answer questions and distribute information
• Direct students to various locations

	Check-In Setup To be announced Check-in setup volunteers will assist ISS staff in moving check-in supplies from Bizzell Hall East to Student Computing Center.
	Check-In To be announced Volunteers will assist students with filling out forms, direct them to various locations and make copies.
	Welcome Party To be announced New international students and their families are invited to this Welcome party. Volunteers for welcome party will assist ISS staff with set up, clean up, and various party work stations
	Orientation To be announced Volunteers for Orientation will assist ISS staff in moving materials from ISS to MSC, distribute handouts to students, and direct them to various locations.
	Campus Tours To be announced ISS will have tours available for new international students to assist them in becoming familiar with the campus, library, and recreation center.

International Student Mentor Association

The International Student Mentor Association (ISMA) is a student organization at Texas A&M University comprised of a diverse group of students (international, American, undergraduates, graduates, male and female). ISMA gained student activities recognition in spring 2006 and has since helped many international students adjust to life at Texas A&M University, College Station, TX and the United States. Our organization’s members referred to as International Student Mentors (ISMs) lend their helping hands to new International students each semester. Starting with New International Student Orientation (NISO) and continuing into the semester with Continuing Conversations and other mentor activities, ISMs form relationships and provide valuable information to new international students. ISMs provide information ranging in the topics of cultural adjustment, living essentials, academic classes and expectations when helping new international students adjust during their first semester at Texas A&M University.

If working with new international students, learning about cultural diversity, socializing for enjoyment, and participating in cross-cultural communication interests you, ISMA would be a great organization for you to join.
