Discovery provides that chance to get together with other international ladies for classes and programs to help you adjust to living in our community. International Student Mentor Association matches international students with a mentor who will assist in educating new international students about campus and community life as well as Aggie Traditions, while providing a general connection to the University. International Student Mentors will also be available to answer many of the questions new students may have upon arrival and during their first semester in the United States, and assist with difficulties in communication, social relationships, academics, expectations, and general cultural changes. If you are looking for a social group or simply a person to ask questions, you can sign up for an International Student Mentor. ISMA starts by helping new international students at New International Student Orientation and then continue activities into the semester by hosting Continuing Conversations and other social activities. Signing up for an International Student Mentor will help you find answers to your questions and start new relationships and maybe friendships at Texas A&M University. International students can also apply to become an International Student Mentor. International Student Mentors are student leaders (undergraduate or graduate, international or US student) who volunteer to assist new incoming international students in adjusting academically, culturally, and socially to the United States and to Texas A&M University.
