  • Legible bank letter

A legible bank letter must have an official seal or stamp on bank letterhead. If possible, please have the bank letter show the amount in US dollars with the current and average balance.

  • Personal financial support letter

If any funding is from a friend or relative, include a personal financial support letter from your friend or relative in addition to the supporting person's legible bank letter. The personal support letter must state their relationship to you and the length of time they will be providing funding to support your studies.

If your support comes from a permanent resident or citizen of the U.S., he or she needs to complete an I-134 form (available here) and send it to us with all the necessary attachments as specified in the I-134 instructions.
