All new international students for Fall 2008 semester must check in with International Student Services prior to registering for classes. Early check-in is available starting July 14, 2008. All other students will check in on August 11, 2008 and August 12, 2008 at the Student Computing Center. The time slots for early check-in will book a maximum of 10 people for each hour time period. This will prevent any student from having to wait longer than one hour to complete the check-in process. You will receive an e-mail confirming your reserved time slot.

In order to check in early, you will need to follow these steps.

1. Be in the U.S. and able to arrive in College Station for the scheduled time period.
2. Reserve a check-in time slot on-line using the link below.

3. Bring the following items to International Student Services at the confirmed time of your check-in period and 2 sets of copies of these items (You will receive an e-mail concerning your registration.)

Originals and 2 sets of copies of the following:

1. If you are F1 or J1, bring ALL of your I-20s or DS-2019s (copy front & back of each and make sure that the entry date and stamp are legible.)
2. If you are on any type of visa other than F1 or J1, bring the documents showing your status. If you are a dependent; bring the original paperwork of the primary visa holder. (i.e., H4s should also bring the paperwork for the H1 or F2s should bring the paperwork for the F1) (copy the necessary paperwork)
3. Your passport (copy the picture page, the current expiration page, the visa page)
4. Your I-94 card (copy front & back and make sure that the entry date and stamp are legible.)
5. Your dependents' passports (copy the picture page, the current expiration page, the visa page), if they are in the U.S. with you.
6. Your dependents' I-94 cards (copy front & back and make sure that the entry date and stamp are legible.), if they are in the U.S. with you.
4. If you cannot attend check-in at your appointed time, then cancel your registration 48 hours prior to your appointment (see your confirmation e-mail for instructions).
