The EU Notes team is now accepting papers…please contact adugat@ipomail.tamu.edu

Welcome to EU NotesEU Notes is an outreach effort of the European Union Center at Texas A&M University.  Under faculty supervision, students from relevant disciplines collect, edit, and publish EU Notes. This Online Journal allows students to share their scholarly work of issues pertinent to Europe.

The second volume of EU Notes is now available. Please select the "Current Issue" icon to read papers from Texas A&M students who went to France. They wrote about the "Chasm between France and the U.S. in Foreign Policy" and the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union (CFSP). In addition, one paper examines the French Opposition to the U.S. - led war against Iraq.

Please click on "Previous Issues" to learn more about the risks of a rapid EU expansion. Moreover, read about post-colonialist perceptions in a book review of Lewis' "Out of the Silent Planet". View other Volume 1 papers that are about EU structure and policy. Topics like EU-U.S. trade disputes and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) are examined. Furthermore, you can read about European accounting policies, EU relations with Japan, poetry reflecting dramatic historic events, and Aggie viewpoints on the currency change in Europe.

If you are interested in world news and European issues, please select "EU This Week" to read a weekly news summary with links to top stories from BBC, CNN, AP, and EU Observer.

The EU Notes team will be back for the fall semester. New issues from EU This Week and EU Notes will be posted in September. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students and professors for their support of EU Notes.

Have a great summer!
