EU
Notes Mission
|
| |
| EU
Notes
is an online student journal of the European Union published
by the European Union Center at Texas A&M University.
It offers a multidisciplinary view of the issues affecting
the European Union, and its range of coverage includes studies
of economics, political science, international relations,
philosophy, history, sociology, geography, anthropology and
literature. |
| |
| To promote
understanding and research into European Union issues, EU
Notes is published throughout the year. Each semester, one
volume with several issues is posted. Under faculty
supervision, students from relevant disciplines collect, edit,
and publish EU Notes. |
| |
| We publish
three categories of work: Research Essays are 3,000-5,000
word pieces of analysis or research that include citations
and are refereed by a faculty member. Commentaries
are 1,000-2,000 word articles that opine or report on current
EU issues, and are more informal in style than Research Essays.
Commentaries may include personal observation from trips such
as through the Study Abroad Office. The EU Notes editors
edit these articles. Finally, Book Reviews are 500
-1,000 word commentaries on recent books and are edited by
the editorial staff. |
| |
| EU
Notes
is based at Texas A&M and actively seeks submissions from
A&M students. In addition, in the future call for papers
may be sent to other Texas universities as part of its goal
to become a leader in EU studies in the state. |
