ISS will hold four employment workshops in the month of November to discuss the Practical Training benefits available to students in F-1 status. Practical Training allows students in F-1 status to work for an off-campus employer both before and after the completion of your academic program. Information about Practical training is available in the Employment section of the ISS website, and specifically at http://international.tamu.edu/iss/employment/practicaltraining.asp. Space is limited for each workshop, so you must register online for the workshop you plan to attend. Please cancel your reservation if you cannot attend so that all interested students can be accommodated.

Each Optional Practical Training (OPT) Workshop will contain the same information, so you should only attend one OPT Workshop. Registration for the OPT Workshops is located at http://international.tamu.edu/iss/employment/optworkshop.asp.

Wednesday, November 11, 7:00pm – 8:30pm in Scoates Hall, Room 214 (SCTS, #478 on the campus map)
Wednesday, November 18, 3:00pm – 4:30pm in the Read Building, Room 167 (READ, #369 on the campus map)

Only one Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Workshop is available at this time. Registration for the CPT Workshop is located at http://international.tamu.edu/iss/employment/cptinfo.asp.
